Most travellers arrive in Tashkent and treat it as a transit point. Give it a day and it repays you: Chorsu Bazaar under its blue dome, the old town of Hast-Imam, one of the most beautiful metro systems in the world and a serious food scene.
What to see
Chorsu Bazaar
The city's oldest market under a huge tiled dome — plov, bread, spices, ceramics.

- All year. Spring and autumn are pleasant; the city works even in winter.
