Aral Sea Expedition
A 4x4 expedition across the former seabed to the retreating Aral shoreline, with a night in a yurt camp under an enormous desert sky.

Programme
Day 1 — Nukus → Muynak
Savitsky Museum in Nukus. Drive to Muynak (~3h). Ship cemetery, Aral museum, the former shoreline. Overnight in a Muynak guesthouse.
Day 2 — Ustyurt plateau → Aral shore
4x4 departure across the former seabed. Canyons and cliffs of the Ustyurt plateau, gas crater, salt flats. Arrival at the current Aral shoreline. Campfire dinner, overnight in a yurt camp on the shore, stargazing.
Day 3 — Aral → Nukus
Sunrise over the sea, swimming in the salt water (optional). Return to Nukus via the Mizdakhan necropolis. Transfer to station or airport.
