Programme

Days 1–4 — Tashkent & Samarkand

As Silk Road Classic — Tashkent (2 nights), Samarkand (2 nights).

Day 5 — Nurata & the desert

Drive to Nurata. Chashma complex — spring and mosque, Alexander's fortress. Lunch. Transfer to a yurt camp in the Kyzylkum desert. Camel riding, dinner around the fire, bakhshi songs. Overnight in a yurt.

Day 6 — Aydarkul → Bukhara

Breakfast, swimming in Lake Aydarkul (summer). Drive to Bukhara (~4h), check-in in the old town. Lyabi-Hauz, trading domes, Poi-Kalon at sunset. Overnight Bukhara.

Day 7 — Bukhara

Ark, Bolo-Hauz, Samani, Chashma-Ayub. Lunch. Sitorai Mohi-Xosa, Bahouddin Naqshbandi. Overnight Bukhara.

Day 8 — Bukhara → Khiva

Desert crossing to Khiva (~7h), stop at the Amu Darya. Check-in inside Ichan-Kala. Evening walk. Overnight Khiva.

Day 9 — Khiva

Ichan-Kala in full — Kalta Minor, Juma Mosque, Kunya-Ark, Tash-Hauli, Pahlavan Mahmud. Lunch. Free time, carpet workshop. Overnight Khiva.

Day 10 — Khiva → Tashkent

Transfer to Urgench, flight or train to Tashkent, airport transfer.
